Support our Parish and our Council !!! - USE SCRIPS
Do you buy groceries? Of course you do!
How many trips to the hardware store have you made?
Do you plan on eating out any time soon?

EVERY time you use SCRIPS to do the above (and much more!), you COULD be supporting St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish AND the Council!!!

Let's face it, at least once this week you have visited one of the participating merchants in our SCRIPs program...why not have some of that money go back to our Parish and our Council!

It's that simple! Visit the SCRIPs desk after Mass and one of our Knights will show you how easy it is to support our Parish and Council while doing EVERYDAY shopping.

About Our Council
Bishop Fulcher Council #12387 was chartered in 1999. It is named after Bishop George Avis Fulcher, who was a previous Bishop of our Diocese.

George Fulcher was born in Columbus Ohio on January 30, 1922. Ordained a priest on February 28, 1948 in St. Joseph Cathedral, Columbus, he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Catholic Times from 1958-67. He also served as a part-time instructor in Moral and Pastoral Theology at the Josephinum Seminary in Worthington Ohio from 1963-75 and as pastor of St. Joseph Cathedral from 1975-83. He was appointed Auxillary Bishop of Columbus on May 24, 1976. On February 7, 1983 , he was appointed Bishop of Lafayette-in-Indiana and installed as Bishop on April 14, 1983 replacing retiring Bishop Raymond J. Gallagher.

Bishop Fulcher died on January 25, 1984, just 9 months after his appointment, in an automobile accident, while returning to Lafayette from Terre Haute. During his short term as Bishop he anointed our Pastor, Rev. Theodore Rothrock, to priesthood. It was Father Ted who was instrumental in forming this Council. We have named this Council in honor of Bishop Fulcher to memorialize his relationship to St. Elizabeth Seton through Father Rothrock. Bishop Fulcher is buried in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Lafayette IN.

Bishop Fulcher's papers are stored in the Univ of Notre Dame archives. These records include his service as a member of the National Council of Catholic Bishops in deliberations over the text of "The Challenge of Peace", the Bishops' pastoral letter on war and peace (1983).

The Bishop Fulcher Council works closely with the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in Carmel, IN, providing funding for various projects, including Bishop Fulcher Council Scholarships, Project Gabriel, Right to Life, Rosary for Soldiers, Consolation Ministry, Little Sisters of the Poor, Priest Appreciation, Seminarian/Vocations, and Blood Drives. Our members are very active participants in their Parish, community, and those in need here in Hamilton County and surrounding areas, providing over 1,400 hours of service in the past year.
